If the Defendant had been found guilty, the Defendant would have suffered a 5 year to life sentence in the Colorado Department of Corrections. The jury came back in 15 minutes with their Not Guilty Verdict.
In this case the defendant’s wife was attempting to do what she had done to a previous husband. Put him in prison. The jury was not given that information, but during the trial, her lies became apparent to the jury and they wasted no time in setting my client free.
